Mint green can be a subtle accent or the main color in an eye look. You do not need to change your entire makeup routine to try it.

Option one: a soft wash of color
Use a product labeled for the eye area. Apply a small amount over the lid and blend the edge with a clean brush. Begin lightly; it is easier to add color than to remove a thick, uneven layer.
Keep the surrounding shades simple if you want the mint to stand out. A neutral crease shade is optional and should suit your preferred level of definition.
Option two: a small accent
Place the color on a limited area of the lid rather than covering the entire eye. This can help you explore the shade without committing to a bolder look.
Avoid placing products inside the eye or on areas where the label says they should not be used. Craft glitter and decorative pigments are not substitutes for eye cosmetics.
Option three: a liner-style detail
Choose an eye product designed for the technique you want. Keep the line close to the lashes and stop if the product irritates your eyes. Do not add water or another liquid unless the manufacturer’s instructions permit it.
Balance the rest of the look
- Try a lip and cheek color you already feel comfortable wearing.
- Check the result in daylight as well as indoor lighting.
- Adjust the intensity rather than following a rule about which skin tone can wear green.
- Clean tools and avoid sharing eye makeup.
Mint green is a styling option, not a trend you need to follow. Experiment on a day with time to adjust the result, and take a photograph only if it helps you compare variations you personally enjoy.
Remove the makeup gently at the end of the day and stop using any product that causes a reaction.
